Houston police officers injured when drunk driving suspect crashes into patrol car: report

A suspected drunk driver crashed into a police automobile in southwest Houston in the early hrs of Sunday morning, injuring two officers at the scene. 

An officer was blocking traffic for a tow truck that was loading a broken down motor vehicle on the Southwest Freeway all over 5:15 a.m. when the suspect rear finished the police cruiser in a red Ford Focus, Fox 26 Houston studies. 

1 officer suffered a concussion and a further experienced slight accidents. Both of those were transported to a area medical center for therapy. 


The 39-12 months-previous suspect was billed with intoxication assault, according to Fox 26 Houston. His identification has not been introduced by law enforcement.

Separately, one more suspected drunk driver crashed into a Houston police officer’s auto and one more woman’s automobile about 3:00 a.m. in northwest Houston. 

The officer was uninjured and the girl was taken to a medical center with non-lifetime-threatening injuries. The suspect was charged with driving although intoxicated.
