An aged female died Tuesday evening following a crash that pushed her car or truck into a canal west of Modesto.
The female, who has not been determined but is thought to be about 80, was driving a pink Kia south on Gates Highway and stopped at a stop indication at Highway 132 just right before 8 p.m., in accordance to California Highway Patrol Officer Ming Hsu.
When she proceeded into the intersection, she was strike by a grey Kia that was westbound on 132 and did not have a cease sign.
The effect propelled the purple Kia southwest. It left the roadway and went into a canal that operates parallel to Gates and Paradise Street.
Hsu reported the crimson Kia grew to become submerged in the full canal. Passerby pulled the female out of the motor vehicle as crisis staff arrived on scene. He said CPR was began at the scene and the woman was taken to a medical center, the place she was pronounced lifeless shortly just after arriving.
The driver of the grey Kia, a 25-calendar year-outdated Modesto resident, experienced insignificant accidents and was taken to a hospital.
